Cutting a very long story short, since its birth in 2006,The Winelight Club has gone from strength to strength with events being held in London, Manchester, Bury (Manchester) Norwich, and Cambridge. The majority of these events are held in chic restaurants offering a wide range of modern quisine, wines and other drinks and, of course, great music from every genre and artistes from across the globe. In addition to these restaurant events, The Winelight Club has staged larger events featuring named acts such as Chris Farlowe, Terry Reid, Tina Dico, Foy Vance, Tom Hingley, Vinny Peculiar the list continues.
In 2008 The Winelight Club was invited to nominate 8 acts for that years Indy Music Awards. In all, across the UK, over 700 nominations were eventually whittled down to a final 14 categories, of that 14 three of The Winelight Club’s 8 nominees made that final 14. Naama Hillman (Best Female Solo), Sean Seraphim (Best Pop Act) and Vince Freeman (Best Male Solo), Vince Freeman winning the Best Male Solo award and also The People’s Choice Award. We like to think this was an indication not only of the variety of acts that appear at The Winelight Club but also of the quality of those acts.
